It does seem odd that you cannot uninstall some updates! I take it you’ve attempted to uninstall the update through both methods mentioned in this tutorial? Someone around must know of a method for uninstalling updates that aren’t listed, but I can’t seem to find a method for you.

Thinking that maybe I could try reinstalling the update, I went to the uninstall updates screen but it is not actually listed there! I am running Windows 7 Ultimate bit with this adaptor no problems now.
Does anyone know where I can get a Manual. OS Windows 7 bit. I had the same problem. It’s very frustrating that it worked perfectly for a little while so I’m thinking it should be able to work on Windows 7.

Can anyone suggest a way to get the adapter working? However, here’s the strange part Thinking there was a problem with the adapter, I safely removed it and plugged it back in. Strange PC behavior with network adapter Hi all, I’ve had windows 7 for about a year now on my PC and it has been running reasonably smooth. Windows then recognised it as the CD Rom drive again and Kg544 can’t get it to find it as a network adapter! Welcome to Windows 7 Forums.
When I connected to the internet via ethernet link the initial Windows Updates installed support for the adapter and it was then detected perfectly as a Network adapter and allowed me to connect wirelessly.
